“We should care for our beliefs like beautiful old clocks. To keep them running smoothly and correctly we should disassemble them every now and then, clean them up, replace some parts, and put them back together.” —Paul Mark Sutherland

Well that’s a thought – wonder if the pieces go back together the same way they came apart like a clock would have to – somehow I think not. 🙂

Maybe they get reassembled the same, but with new and improved parts. :~)

On another note, do you have tips for how to do what you suggest?

Thank you. Regarding tips, we all have beliefs that are not true, but we continue to cling to them. So, the first step is admitting that we may be keepers of false beliefs. Once we get there it becomes a bit easier to continually challenge everything we believe instead of just accepting it as legitimate “just because” we have always done it that way. To challenge, we need merely to examine with an objective mind (easier said then done).

this is so useful.we agree. we can see how step by step we have easily changed by reviewing those false seeds and then replanted an image of beauty representing lasting peace, love and happiness in that area of life. We agree the doing became easier as we go about our daily lives. Thank you
